Best parking bet

Parkia Paseo de la Victoria: covered, 24 hours, 2.10 m, from €2.40 an hour on Parclick, ten minutes' walk to the Mezquita. All day: IC Centro Histórico, €18.50 for 24 hours booked.

Car towed?

Municipal tow €140 Mon–Sat 06:00–22:00, €210 at night, Sundays and holidays, plus €13 at the pound. Pound address not published: ring 112 and ask for the Policía Local.

EV charging

Zero-emission electric cars get the first hour of the day free at the meters (ordinance 407). Open Charge Map lists 9 Wenea points at Paseo de la Victoria.

Watch out

ACIRE: cameras at every entrance to the old town, authorised plates only, since 2012. The ZBE covers the same area. Ask your hotel before you drive to its door.

Driving to Córdoba

Printed from parkingineurope.com/cordoba/ · facts checked 2 November 2026. Prices and rules change: check the page before you rely on it. The full text, maps and links are on the page.

Córdoba's old town around the Mezquita is an ACIRE zone: cameras at the entrances read every plate, and only authorised cars may drive in. A foreign hire car isn't authorised, so the satnav route to a hotel door in the Judería can end in a fine.

How I'd park: stop outside the walls at Parkia Paseo de la Victoria, 2.10 m, from €2.40 an hour on Parclick, and walk ten minutes to the Mezquita. For a short stop, the blue kerb costs €1.70 for its two-hour maximum.

Parking in Córdoba: Córdoba's blue kerb: €1.70 for two hours

1. Keep out of the ACIRE

The ACIRE (restricted-traffic area) has been camera-controlled since 2012 and, the city told Spain's ombudsman, covers twelve protected areas. Residents, garage users and businesses inside get permits. Anyone else can file a "comunicación previa" (advance notice), at most two per car per week. The city publishes no hotel-guest procedure that I could find, so I'd email the hotel before arrival and ask whether it registers your plate. The ACIRE office is on 957 46 97 03, weekdays 10:00–13:00.

2. Treat the ZBE as switched on

The low-emission zone sits over the same old town. The mobility ordinance took effect on 18 February 2023, and in April 2024 the city told the ombudsman the ZBE was "operativa", restricting cars without a 0 or ECO label. A foreign car has no Spanish label at all, and Córdoba publishes nothing for foreign plates. It also publishes no fine. It hardly matters: you can't enter the ACIRE anyway.

3. Pay about 85 cents for an hour

The 2026 fee ordinance (no. 407) sets the meters: €0.25 for the first 15 minutes, then 5 cents every 3 minutes 43 seconds, up to €1.70 for two hours, the maximum stay. By my sum, one hour is about €0.85.

4. Settle an overstay at the meter

Overstayed by up to an hour? The ordinance lets you pay €3 extra. Parked with no ticket? Paying €6 within the first hour settles it. Miss both and it becomes illegal parking, fined under national traffic law. The ordinance doesn't print that fine's amount.

5. Check the hours on the sign

The ordinance leaves hours to the council. elParking gives the commercial blue zone as Monday to Friday 09:00–14:00 and 17:00–21:00, Saturday 09:00–14:00, and 08:00–15:00 Monday to Saturday in July and August. Sundays and holidays are free there. That's one source, so the sign wins.

6. Pick Paseo de la Victoria or Custodios

Parkia Paseo de la Victoria is covered, open 24 hours, 2.10 m, about ten minutes' walk from the Mezquita. IC Centro Histórico has 574 surface spaces by the Puerta de Sevilla, 1.90 m, and €18.50 for 24 hours booked on Parkimeter (Parclick shows €19.06). Neither operator publishes a walk-up tariff.

The trap is the last 300 metres to the hotel. I stop at the walls and walk in.

Towed in Córdoba: Córdoba's grúa: €140 by day, €210 at night

1. Budget €153 for a daytime tow

Ordinance 106 charges €140 to tow a car Monday to Saturday 06:00–22:00, plus €13 for the pound. That's €153 before any fine. The ordinance doesn't say whether the €13 is per day.

2. Expect €223 at night or Sunday

Between 22:00 and 06:00, on Sundays and on public holidays, the tow is €210. Add the €13 and you're at €223. The fee follows the time the car reaches the pound, not when you parked.

3. Run if the hook's already on

If the truck has started but the car hasn't reached the pound, it's a "not completed" tow: €70 by day, €105 at night. Paying that beats a trip to the pound.

4. Ring 112 to find the car

I couldn't find the pound's address or phone published anywhere official. Ring 112 and ask for the Policía Local. Take your passport, licence and hire agreement.

A Sunday tow and storage, €223, costs more than a week booked at Custodios (€109). I wouldn't gamble a kerb space.

If your car has disappeared

Bring
The city lists nothing for visitors. I would bring my passport, driving licence and the hire agreement.

EV charging in Córdoba: Córdoba's free first hour for electric cars

1. Claim the free hour

Ordinance 407 gives zero-emission electric cars the first hour of each day free, in one parking session. How a foreign EV proves that at the meter isn't published, so I'd keep the registration document handy.

2. Charge under Paseo de la Victoria

Open Charge Map lists nine Wenea points at the Paseo de la Victoria car park: two 50 kW CCS and seven 22 kW Type 2, at €0.42 a kWh DC and €0.38 AC. The listing isn't recently verified, so check the app first.

3. Ask at IC Centro Histórico

Parkimeter and parking.ai say IC Centro Histórico has EV chargers. Neither gives a count or price, and charging isn't in the booking.

My pick is Paseo de la Victoria: covered, 2.10 m, chargers listed, ten minutes from the Mezquita.

Where to charge

Free parking in Córdoba: Free in Córdoba: Sundays, the riverbank, no P+R

1. Park free on Sundays and holidays

elParking says the blue zone doesn't run on Sundays and public holidays. The administrative blue zone is weekday mornings only.

2. Try the riverside white zone

Gurutravel lists free white-zone spaces on the Paseo de la Ribera, 10–15 minutes' walk from the Mezquita, and rates finding one as hard. Avenida del Corregidor, across the river, is free too and 15–20 minutes away. Both come from one source.

3. Don't look for a park and ride

Córdoba publishes no official park and ride. The nearest thing is IC Centro Histórico's 574 open-air spaces at the Puerta de Sevilla, €18.50 a day booked, with no shuttle because you don't need one.

4. Don't assume hotel parking is free

I didn't find a hotel whose own site promised free parking. Ask what it costs when you book.

Sunday at the kerb is the only free parking I'd trust here.

⚠ The small print on 'free' parking

  • ACIRE: the old town has been camera-controlled since 2012. Only authorised plates may enter; a non-resident can file an advance notice (comunicación previa), at most two per car per week. The city publishes no hotel-guest procedure that I could find, so ask the hotel before you arrive.
  • ZBE: in force since 18 February 2023 over the same area. The city told the ombudsman in April 2024 it restricts cars without a 0 or ECO label and was tendering cameras for 13 access points. No fine and nothing for foreign plates is published.
  • A tow at night, on a Sunday or holiday is €210, not €140, and the €13 pound fee comes on top.
  • IC Centro Histórico is 1.90 m; a roof box or van belongs at Paseo de la Victoria (2.10 m).
  • Car-park prices on this page come from booking sites; the operators publish no walk-up tariffs that I could read.
